redvine

2025
Ayendell, last heir of a shattered elven kingdom, is cursed to share his soul with a forgotten dragon god. Armed with a blade of light and a coin of fate, he wanders a fractured world, seeking purpose, haunted by the voice of the ancient deity inside him.
As he’s pulled into battles not his own and faces enemies both mortal and divine, Ayendell must decide who he is—and what he’s willing to become—to reclaim his freedom.
This is the legend before the legend. The story of an elf, a dragon, and a lot of people standing in their way.
About redvine
REDVINE is my graphic novel that's currently in development, and this project—the culmination of three years of relentless creation—offers a rare window into the life behind the work.
Centered around the story of Ayendell, the last heir of a fallen elven kingdom cursed to share his soul with a forgotten dragon god, REDVINE is a high fantasy epic grounded in deeply personal themes of identity, purpose, and transformation.

Through Ayendell’s long journey—armed with a blade of light, a coin of fate, and a soul not entirely his own—the story explores what it means to wrestle with inner conflict, and how the pursuit of freedom is shaped by the battles we fight both within and without.

This exhibition charts the evolution of REDVINE, featuring a sprawling wall of storyboards, character sheets, sketches, scripts, and visual development. These artifacts trace the successes, revisions, and missteps that have shaped the project from its earliest ideas to its current form. Rather than presenting a polished end product, the focus is on the process—the winding, often chaotic path of building a world, refining a narrative, and holding onto inspiration through years of change.

My artistic practice is rooted in the belief that struggle—both creative and personal—is essential to growth. Through illustration and animation, I explore how physical conflict mirrors emotional and spiritual turmoil. REDVINE brings this philosophy to life, blending fantasy storytelling with a deep exploration of how we reflect, adapt, and seek happiness in the face of adversity.

At its core, this project is about more than just a single story. It’s a testament to the journey of making graphic novels and manga—the discipline, the doubt, the discoveries. And in sharing that journey, I hope to make visible the quiet, determined work that happens behind the scenes.
All updates on REDVINE's development will be shared here. I'm excited to continue this journey and grateful to have you along for it.
